
The multi-functional hub of the Heinz Julen empire. In the same complex in the basement there is the “Vernissage”: cinema, theater, bar, nightclub and art gallery. Here, every piece of furniture has been manufactured in his studio in Zermatt by hand, and his artwork adorns the walls. Today this construction is clearly visible and appears as a large corridor from the Reception leading southwards. The heart of the static concept is a kind of steel bridge structure spanning the the upper floors like a bridge over the cinema below. The construction had to adhere to the new rules and be made earthquake proof.

Furthermore the building is also home to a big sports shop and two apartments on the 2nd floor. The entire system was created in the basement of the building project. 1991 Heinz Julen developed with its vernissage (Kino Bar Art Gallery Concerts) his first major architectural project in Zermatt.
